Industrial Scissors are normally the most neglected dirty, rusty, beat up scissors in the industry.

These metal beasts are found in the shops of marine canvas, auto upholstery, furniture upholstery, carpeting, and florists. They bounce around in trucks, tool boxes, work tables and boats. (if I had a nickel for every pair dropped in the water…)

When we sharpen these type scissors, the first step is to remove any glue or rust. Then we sharpen using the current angle of the scissor. We will not change the current angle unless ask for by customer. If we see a scissor that is noticibly different from manufactures angle we will bring it to the attention of the cust before changing. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve the wear and cut of your scissor.

We accommodate our customer request regarding scissor tips. We can maintain sharp pointy tips, or we can blunt them. Please let us know your preference.

S&R Sharpening will not adjust any of these scissors unless specifically asked by the customer, some prefer their scissors to be very lose, some like them to be tight. A word of advice, if the scissor is dull do not tighten it, that can ruin the edge.  Call your sharpener!!!
